James M. Oliver has three sisters, six nieces a wife and many female friends. He was raised by his Dad to treat women the way he would want his Mom & sisters to be treated. Not everybody was raised that way. These songs are observations of some of the bullshit he's seen women have to deal with.

For this collaboration we teamed up with the wonderfully talented Shannon Lee who brought the stories in these songs to life.

How Did I Lose You

Oliver & Cangeleri

A tongue-in-cheek song about a guy who's way down on his luck. I had a lot of fun with this one channeling my inner Santana. Outstanding organ work by the great Mark "Muggie Doo" Leach. -cc

One day I received a Facebook message from an old friend from Seaford NY who I hadn't spoken to for at least 20 years. Rob had seen a random post of mine, seemingly from out of nowhere. He'd been working on a movie and had been inspired to write a song, something he had never done before. The song was loosely based on a conversation Rob had had with a woman at a recovery meeting. He had the lyrics and a basic musical structure and was wondering if I could help him finish it. I was happy for the opportunity to reconnect with an old friend and to work on something new. I immediately looped Jim for help with building out a chorus and just like that, three old friends from the neighborhood were on a conference call laugking, joking and plotting our strategy for the song.

Six weeks later the project was finished, mixed and mastered. We hope you enjoy the result. -Chris
