Lyrics
Looked outside my window
The sky was growing dark
My dog was getting nervous
Couldn’t find the voice to bark
The house was doing what it could
To brace against the wind
But night will come, trees will fall
Oh, here we go again!
The waters rise and have their way
With all that’s in its path
Mighty oaks are just a joke
To Sandy’s winds of wrath
Every year they start a “A”
And give each one a name
Andrew, Irene, Gloria, ahhh, eff you hurricane!
Eff you hurricane we both know
That I don’t stand a chance
Eff your wind & rain,
I cannot afford this deadly dance
Waters breach my living room
But I will not embrace this gloom
You will not beat me
You won’t defeat me
I will rise again!
Wading through the water
I see my neighbor Joe
He said he almost lost his wife
But couldn’t let her go
I said “Sandy sure did kick our ass,
Like last year’s what’s her name.”
He said “You can call‘er whatever you want,
It’s an effin’ hurricane!”
